Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it.
Last updated: September 2026. This policy applies to universalcorporate.in and to supplies purchased from Universal Corporate.
Universal Corporate ("we", "us") supplies office and institutional consumables across Delhi NCR. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our business dealings, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect the minimum we need to quote and deliver. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or quote request, we collect the details you provide: your name, organisation, phone number, email address, delivery city and a description of your requirement.
When you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp we keep a record of that correspondence so we can service your enquiry and any subsequent order.
When you use this website we collect standard technical information — pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and referring source — through our analytics.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and fulfil and deliver any order you place. To raise GST-compliant invoices and maintain the accounting and tax records we are legally required to keep. To contact you about an order in progress.
To improve the website and understand which pages and campaigns bring genuine enquiries.
We may contact you once to follow up on an enquiry you sent us. If you tell us the timing is not right, we stop until you get in touch again.
Legal basis and your rights
We process your information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform that contract, and to comply with Indian tax and accounting law. Analytics and advertising cookies are processed on the basis of the consent you give through the cookie banner.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it where we are not legally required to retain it, and withdraw consent you have previously given. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Who we share it with
Our customer relationship system, which we use to manage enquiries and orders. Hosting, email and analytics service providers who help us run this website and respond to you. Delivery partners, where an order is shipped outside our own delivery area — they receive only what is needed to complete the delivery. Our accountants and auditors, and any authority we are legally obliged to disclose to.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also handled by WhatsApp (operated by Meta) under its own privacy terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Applications and partner enquiries
If you apply for a role through our Careers page, we keep your application on file for up to 12 months so we can consider you for a suitable opening, then delete it.
If you send us a partner or supplier enquiry, we use the details only to evaluate the partnership — sending one does not add you to any marketing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders are retained for up to three years so we can pick up a conversation you restart. Order, invoice and tax records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires — currently at least six years for GST records. Website analytics data is retained in aggregated form.
Security
We apply reasonable security practices in line with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 — access controls, encrypted transmission over HTTPS, and restricting access to the people who need it to do their job.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working and are always set. Where we use analytics cookies, we ask for consent through our cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time. Blocking non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site or sending an enquiry.
Grievance Officer
Grievance Officer: Rahul, Universal Corporate — email rahul@universalcorporate.in, phone +91 98705 56310. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
